Government Polytechnic Pune is one of the leading Polytechnic in Pune Region.
This institute has an excellent central library stocked with Text books, Reference Books, Reference tools, Periodicals, CD's and DVD's covering all facets of engineering.
The library has 48564 printed documents and it subscribes to over 50 Technical Journal/ Periodicals.
The library is having area of 371.61 Sq.m with reading room capacity of 150 students.
The library process is automated through MIS.
The library offers open access to students.
The students get three to four books under book bank facility (Reserved category students get the book bank facility free of cost and rest of the students by payment of 10% cost of the books as deposit). The students can retain the books issued under book bank for the entire semester.
Under issue section, the students get one reference book under library card for fifteen days.
During working hours of the library, students can access books for reading in the reading room facility on their institute identity card.
Faculty can get reference books according to their need and for flexible durations.
The daily average number of books issued/returned transaction are 100 plus.

The library has National Digital Library (NDL) membership with the help of which, students and faculty can access e-books and journals available on NDL.
There is a dedicated computer center with Ten computer terminals in the library for accessing e-resources.
The library has subscription for newspapers.
The library also caters to the examination preparation of students by providing them collection of question papers of past examination.
