PHILOSOPHY OF 180 OB CURRICULLUM


This curriculum based on industry requirements, focuses on educational theory, Outcome-Based Education (OBE). OBE is a student-centric teaching and learning methodology, where course delivery, assessments are planned to achieve stated objectives and outcomes. It measures students' performance i.e. outcomes at different levels. By the end of the course taught, each student should have achieved the desired goal. Theory, laboratory classes, and assessments help students achieve the specified outcomes. The role of faculty in OBE curriculum is to work as instructor, trainer, facilitator, and mentor based on the outcomes targeted.

Main objectives of this curriculum are:

  1. To create diploma engineers with skills in Computer Engineering, who can become entrepreneurs and software professionals to satisfy the needs of the core industry, academia, society and Government organizations.
  2. To provide opportunity to learn new technologies in Computer Engineering
  3. To prepare students for life-long learning process.
  4. To teach professional ethics of the software industry, and develop their soft skills, essential for working in IT community and professional organizations.
