Government Polytechnic Pune is one of the leading Polytechnics in Pune Region. The institute has an excellent central library stocked with Text Books, Reference Books, Reference Tools, Periodicals, CDs and DVDs covering all facets of engineering. The library houses 32,867 books including 13,821 Book Bank books and 1,876 TEQIP books. It subscribes to 50 technical journals and periodicals and provides access to newspapers, digital resources and online information services. The library occupies an area of 371.61 sq. m. with a reading room capacity of 150 students.

The library offers open access to students. Students receive three to four books under the Book Bank facility. Reserved category students receive this facility free of cost, while other students pay 10% of the book cost as a refundable deposit. Students can retain these books for the entire semester. Under the issue section, students can borrow one reference book for fifteen days using their library card. Faculty members can borrow reference books as required for flexible durations.

  • The library has National Digital Library (NDL) membership through which students and faculty can access e-books and journals available on NDL.
